The project,  initiated by Riga Ridzene Rotary  (RRR) club, develops. During the last month the cooperation between  clubs  outside capital Riga  and  RRR club has been very active. For instance,  the  State  Social Care Center  “Zemgale” branch named  “Jelgava” was the first to be hit by pandemic last year (more than 100  patiens  got ill with Covid 19, out of more than 100 medical persons  only 27 worked because all others were ill or observing the  quarantine  regime).  Now  the heaviest burden is behind. The Jelgava Rotary Club supported the centre in different ways, but also  involved Rotarians from other clubs   and namely  RRR, who in turn addressed the general public and transferred EUR 380, – to Jelgava Rotary Club from the special fund.

RRR club donated  3 coffee machines for Rézekne hospital ( 342.68 EUR).  At the same time  RRR club donated 696.96 EUR to provide all the Medical Emergency Centers in Riga  with Christmas Ginger drinks.

Recently RRR club donated 100,- EUR from the fund to donate medics with  sweets-cakes, macaroni, cookies, marshmallows, chocolate. Other measures  to support doctors are being organized currently.
