Latvian International Rotary Charity Ball, dedicated to the 101st Anniversary of the foundation of the Latvian state took place November 17, 2019 at the Riga Latvian Society House. It is the biggest ball in Latvia, gathering together 700 rotarians, businessmen, patrons and artists from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, Sweden, Finland , Danmark, Germany and other states into the halls of the Riga Latvian Society.
The first Latvian entrepreneurs built the RLS House and laid the foundations for the independent state of Latvia. With this Charity ball we are continuing their legacy.
The ball is organized by Riga Latvian society House continuing the tradition that was begun by Latvia Rotarians in 2012. It is widely recognized by society and has developed into the largest open national celebration event that brings the spirit of patriotic pride, social cohesion and cooperation. Each year The Ball’s charity donations reach a substantial sum which will be spent to restore the historic house where the event takes place as it is an important national heritage element.
Donations are invested in restoration and preservation of the RLS House. As when it was built and as it stands today – RLS House is our nation’s heritage for now and the future.
The concert and paintings of Latvian artists for auction alays had been donated by Latvian artists.
