The President of Arnstadt Rotary club  (Germany) Martin Deike  presents the  pennant of  the Arnstadt club to International Exchange coordinator  Maija Līne and Past President of the Ridzene Rotary club Jānis Freibergs

Members of Arnstadt club and their families visited Riga for several days. Club members went sightseeing  Riga city, especially the historical Old Town under the guidance of the club member Dace who speaks fluent German and knows the history of the old Town. Apart from it,  visitors got acquainted with Jurmala  (resort city)  and the  Riga Latvian Society House. One of  the Ridzene Rotary projects is dedicated to the Latvian Society  House.   These are charity donations (on a yearly bases)  to restore  the house – an important national heritage element. Guests from Germany were invited to visit  Latvian International Rotary Charity Ball, dedicated to the  Anniversary of the foundation of the Latvian state in November , 2017  which takes place   at the Riga Latvian Society House.   Members from both clubs met also at the  Ridzene restaurant to exchange views on further cooperation.
