Ten rotarians from different Latvia Rotary clubs (Rotary District 2410) visited Mexico in the framework of Rotary Friendship Exchange program in March 2016. They represented different clubs – Riga Ridzene Rotary club and clubs from Riga, Jelgava, Salaspils, Gulbene.
The aim of the exchange visit was to promote international inter-club relations and shared charity projects, as well as to learn about other cultures while staying with local Rotarian families at their homes , visiting their clubs and getting acquainted with participation of Mexican Rotarians in local community activities.
Mexican Rotary District 4110 is the largest Rotary area in Mexico, consisting of five states – Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes. The group planned to visit Guadalajara, which is another area, and the famous beaches of Mexico. A while later the group from Mexico will arrive in Latvia – in a return visit. Latvia Rotarians will be happy to accommodate the quests from Mexico and continue to develop the plans for the future cooperation.
