January 5, 2016 there was a reception for representatives  of all  charity clubs of Latvia who organize each year  a Charity Ball (November 17) dedicated to the anniversary of the state of Latvia.

Participants – members of the charity clubs and the board of the Riga Latvian Society – discussed the results of the last Charity Ball,   expressed their gratitude to  painters who donated paintings for auction and to lottery   sponsors. Thanks to all  Rotary members donations too the renovation of the Latvian Society house will be  be prolonged.

A document of agreement  was signed according to which the Charity Balls will be organized each year  till 2018 when the state of Latvia celebrates its centenary, but the Riga Latvian Society –  150 years since its foundation.
